Watercolor Wings

A passionate watercolor artist with a preference for realism and detail, Carol Liz Fynn, studied for fourteen years under the private instruction of Bill Whitset of Suffolk, England, and Jan Mettee of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.  With a Bachelor’s Degree from Wittenberg University and a Master’s Degree from Kent State, she has been teaching painting for thirty years. She paints landscapes, still lifes, florals, animals, watercolor batiks, and portraits.  Exhibitions of her work include the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, Ohio Watercolor Society, hospitals, The Creative Artists shows, commercial sites, galleries, and single-artist shows.  Although she has taught in Europe and numerous states, she is newly established in Durham.  Awards include First Places and Best of Show. Carol Liz is not only a teacher, but also a demonstrator/lecturer, who (according to her mother) should learn to contain her sense of humor.
